Our solar system
is presently undergoing the second phase of the grand three-fold process of
cosmic creation, and therefore is governed by the formula IHVh ~ the sacred
Tetragrammaton.
During the first
cycle, when the form principle was molded and made ready to receive the
principle of soul-consciousness, the solar zodiacal lotus was dominated by the
formula ADNI ~ AdoNaI Ha-AReTz, 'the Lord of the Earth'.
The third great
cycle will see the fulfillment of the divine spiritual purpose of our solar
logos and the dominion of the formula AHIH within the consciousness of Helios.
(AHeIeH ASheR AHeIeH ~ 'I am that I am'.)
ADNI ~ The law of Economy ~ Cycle
I
IHVh ~ The law of Attraction ~
Cycle II
AHIH ~ The law of Synthesis ~
Cycle III
The physical
solar system is a reflection of the conscious being of our solar logos. The sun
(and the twelve zones of 'zodiacal' energy radiating out from it into the
ether) is the symbol of His causal body ~ His 'golden lotus' that exists
upon the cosmic mental plane. The planets that revolve around the sun symbolise
His other faculties of consciousness ~ His chakras.
During the first
(i.e. ADNI) great cycle, the consciousness of the logos (collectively
symbolised by the planets) was held and nurtured within the cocoon of the
matter principle. Physical heat ('fire by friction') from the sun was the
masculine force impregnating the feminine material substance of the planets to
spawn biological life. The solar lotus was a closed bud undergoing internal
changes prior to its opening and consequent exposure to cosmic radiations from
'heavenly' sources. In short, the logos was preoccupied with His 'physical'
self.
It is now,
during the second (or IHVh) phase of the Creation that the lotus unfolds and
turns its petals towards the light ('solar fire') of the greater cosmos.
During the ADNI
phase of the cycle, the physical consciousness of the logos (i.e. the solar
system) was not able to perceive high frequency (soul & monadic) stimuli
coming from celestial sources in the universe. It could respond to heat (from
the sun) but not yet light (from the stars) because it was still in the process
of developing the sense organs (planets) required for that advanced kind of
perception. It is during the present IHVh phase of the great tri-cycle of solar
creation that the logoic 'personality' is able to detect and respond to certain
high (or 'inner') frequencies of light emanating from cosmic intelligences in
other regions of the universe.
The light source
closest to our system is of course our own sun. From it radiates the
soul-consciousness (i.e. abstract mental energy) of Helios Himself. Its
influence was felt during the latter stages of the ADNI cycle. During that
time, Helios was preoccupied with realising the existence of His soul within
His physical consciousness. And He was still quite oblivious to the energy
issuing forth from 'higher' sources in the universe. In human terms, that point
of evolution corresponds with the first initiation.
The intelligent
life-forms that are spawned on/within the planets of our solar system are the
manifestation of the physical consciousness of the solar logos. Therefore, we
express (or live out) the mental activity of our creator. That is why there has
been sun worship in distant aeons of this IHVh phase of Creation. We were
mirroring on the cosmic physical plane the important stage of 'soul focus' that
our logos had been experiencing on higher cosmic planes.
Helios has since
undergone a shift of focus away from developing physical self discipline. He
now aims towards strengthening His soul connection, and seeks to establish
conscious contact with His divine spirit or monad (i.e. Sirius). He is attuning
Himself to light frequencies beyond the range of His 'physical' perception.
Thus we too (as
the material embodiment of His conscious being) have experienced a shift in
consciousness away from the sun and our own solar system towards other, greater
constellations of light. This has been reflected in the comparatively recent
past of our current IHVh cycle in the contacts and visitations our solar system
has had with inter-dimensional entities from other star systems.
The IHVh formula
comes into prominence after the first solar/human initiation (called 'the
Birth of the Christ'). It facilitates our entry into what is generally
called the 'fourth dimension'. Its influence supersedes the rule of ADNI
and carries a disciple through the second, third and fourth initiations. The
purpose of IHVh is to secure the soul/personality to the monad in Hockmah, or
in other words, to join the Son/Daughter to the Father. This is achieved via the
Mother principle, by using the dual magick of invocation and evocation.
The sacred
family of the Tetragrammaton can be expressed as follows:
I (yod):
Father. Hockmah-2.
Monadic plane. Its nature is pure love-wisdom. The cosmic Hierarchy
of Light. The Great White Brotherhood. The monadic source of a
human-being ~ our connection to the spiritual purpose of a planetary logos.
Every human-being contains within his soul (i.e. the Son principle) the
'seed' of the Father (that is, in the path of yod on the Tree diagram).
It is by watering, germinating, fertilising and growing this seed that we
attain conscious contact with the Father.
H (ha):
Mother. Binah-3.
Atmic plane. The macrocosmic form principle. The living holistic physical,
emotional and mental environment. The sentient/intelligent world, solar system
and universe. The Mother symbolises the 'physical' manifestation of the
'mind/body' of the solar logos. We, as individual personalities are vital
'organic' components of Her body. We are born, grow and 'physically' die within
Her, but then we are resurrected after the fourth initiation to 'reign with the
Father in Heaven'.
V (vav):
Son. Hesed-Pachad-Tifareth
(4-5-6). Buddhi - Higher mental - Causal. Microcosmic soul consciousness. The
Son contains the essence of the Father and shall return to Him through the
cultivation of love-wisdom.
h (ha):
Daughter. Hod-Netzah-Yesod
(8-7-9). Lower mental-Astral-Etheric/physical. Microcosmic 'physical'
consciousness (or form principle). The human personality. The Daughter is a
microcosmic cell of 'organic matter' in the body of the Mother. (See Figure 1.)
Figure 1.
We can imagine the Mother
(the 'matter' of our solar system) as a crystal prism through which the spirit
(Father-Mother God) of Helios beams Its 'white' ray of divine purpose ~ that
is, from the higher cosmic planes into the 'matter' (i.e. the three lowest
sub-planes) of the cosmic physical plane. The original ray, as it passes
through the prism, refracts into seven main sub-rays ~ these being seven
distinct qualities of the physical consciousness of the solar logos. Each of
the seven has a creative purpose that is interdependently coordinated with the
others, and unified by the spiritual purpose of the original ray.
In the beginning
the crystal prism was very cloudy and dark and there was little refraction of
light into the pure spectrum of colour. At that time the colours were mainly
dispersed in a chaotic and muddy display. But as the white light continued to
pour through the prism, the substance of the crystal gradually began to clear
and the first traces of the rainbow appeared.
The 'clearing of
the crystal' is symbolic of the purification of the form principle within our
solar system. The 'material substance' of the three lower worlds of the cosmic
physical plane (i.e. our etheric, astral and mental planes) is purged of dross,
its atoms aligned into harmony by the vibratory action of the white light of
spirit. This operation is begun by ADNI and is a time of intense 'heat'
generation within the form principle because of its great resistance to the
spiritual light. The human personality triad is a tiny particle within the
crystal prism and experiences this 'purging heat' until the white light begins
to be more easily refracted through it.
Originally, the
light of our consciousness is of a very muddy hue but with the clearing of the
personality triad the heat diminishes and our light begins to be refracted into
alignment with the pure sevenfold spectrum of colour. (This latter stage of the
process is governed by the formula IHVh.) In other words, our consciousness
gradually becomes attuned to the planetary 'consciousness colour' to which our
creative essence belongs.
As we can see,
the IHVh procedure is divided into two distinct but contiguous elements:
a)
The 'clearing of the prism of matter'. The purification of the Daughter.
The Evocation of the Mother. ha (Binah-3) = zain + heth.
b)
The 'refraction of the light into a pure band of the spectrum'. The
alignment of the Son. The Invocation of the Father. yod
(Hockmah-2) = ha + vav.
The magick of invocation & evocation begins to be employed by man
after the first initiation when conscious contact and willing cooperation with
the causal body (Tifareth-6) is first established. It is then that an awareness
of the soul triad (4-5-6, the 'Son') is instilled in the human personality
(7-8-9, the 'Daughter'), which in turn increasingly submits to the soul's
spiritual influence. This is because the Daughter (h) begins to understand the
powerful relationship she and the Son (V) have with the Father (I) and Mother
(H) principles. The Daughter comes to realise that she and her brother are the
medium through which the creative union of the Father and Mother is translated
onto the physical plane. Therefore, the utmost cooperation between Daughter and
Son is required if a harmonious relationship is to exist within the holy family
of IHVh.
The Daughter's
conscious link to the love/will of the Father and Mother principles is via the
Son - the soul triad. The human personality needs to be consciously aware of
the creative will of its spiritual source if it is to be able to consciously
participate in the macrocosmic creative process.
Looking at the
qabalistic Tree diagram we can see that the Son's connection to the Father is
via the paths ha and vav, and his link with the Mother is by the
paths heth and zain. (See Figure 2.)
Figure 2.
(a) With the clearing of
the crystal prism of matter;
(b) the light spectrum of consciousness is brought more sharply into focus.
The two paths ha
and vav are concerned with the magick of invocation (of the
Father), while heth and zain are the corresponding media of evocation
of the Mother.
Note that: yod-ha-vav-ha = 26 = vav-ha-zain-heth.
The whole procedure
involves six consecutive and synchronised stages which can be explained
as follows:
1) ha : The Star (Tarot). When
contact is established by the human personality with the causal body
(Tifareth-6), then we become conscious of the great love (ha) that the
Father (Hockmah-2) has for the Mother ~ specifically the aspect of His love
that we personally represent. It is our destiny to embody, live and fulfil a
microcosmic facet of His macrocosmic creative desire. By invoking into
ourselves His love for the Mother and by responding to His heartfelt guidance
we permit ourselves to be lead by our heart centre into the waiting open arms
of the Mother principle (Binah-3).
By tuning in to
the Father's love we open our hearts and minds to contact with the spiritual
Hierarchy. A conduit or standing wave of love energy is established between Son
and Father which becomes the medium of intercommunication. This is one of the
major principles of telepathy: Love (or 'gravitation') is the medium for
thought-form transferal. (See: Djwal Khul's Telepathy, by Alice Bailey.)
By invoking the
Father we are allowing our spiritual body (or 'star') to be influenced by
gravitational waves beyond our local solar system; we are able to participate
in a greater cosmology; we develop what is called 'spiritual sight'.
(See: The Keys of Enoch, by J. J. Hurtak. Key 216; 29-31.)
2) zain : The Lovers (Tarot).
'Spiritual sight' is the ability to recognise/feel our way along our unique
path through the darkness of the physical world (as embodied by the Mother
principle). Our guiding compass is within our heart which is attuned to the
Father's love. He directs us via our heart centre into the arms of the beloved
who awaits and who is well prepared to receive us (because of Her direct
channel of communication with the Creator via the path of beth).
The path of zain
symbolises the evocation of the Mother to visible appearance. In zain we
encounter the Mother principle in one of Her infinite variety of forms. The
nature of the form will depend upon our individual spiritual purpose ~ the
creative mission that we are required by the Father to fulfil. And the
fulfillment of our ultimate purpose is achieved in stages, so the Mother's form
will depend also upon the progress we have made thus far.
It is as if we
are devoted to building a monument in dedication to the Father's love for the
Mother. Each stone is lovingly prepared and positioned as we work our way from
the base to the apex of the pyramid. Our continuous contact with the Father
(via the path of ha) equips us to recognise the image of the Mother when
She appears, and not to be fooled by the tempting apparitions spawned by the
material desires of the personality. This is the benefit of 'spiritual sight'.
At this 'zain' stage in the conscious evolutionary/creative process,
experience has already shown the Daughter that these phantoms will only lead
her further into darkness and misery.
3) heth
: The
Chariot (Tarot). In the creative encounter with the Mother's image comes an
increased understanding of our relationship with Her and a deepening perception
of our future direction within the apparent chaos and darkness of Her physical
form (i.e. the environment).
The abstract
mental body (Pachad, the 5th sephirah) is the region wherein we are able to perceive
(with a little effort and practice) the meaning behind the forms that the
Mother presents to us in our daily lives. Every image (discerned to be
significant) is charged with profound meaning and we must extract the essence
of the symbolism if we are to progress upon our uniquely unfolding path. When
we have slain the dragon of illusion and solved the prevailing riddle of the
sphinx, then we may move forward upon our path, but not before.
4) lamed : Adjustment (or
'Justice' of the Tarot). Once the enigma of the sphinx is solved then we are
able to make the necessary adjustments to the course of our 'star' as it
careers through the heavens (i.e. Mother's body). These adjustments to our
life's direction can be major or subtle depending on how far off course our
trajectory is in relation to our true path. But in every case, the changes we
implement are based on an expanded understanding that has resulted from our
awakening in Pachad-5 via the path of heth. The further advanced we are
in regard to the completion of our creative purpose, the smoother the
realignment will be as we prepare to take the next step forward.
5) yod
: The
Hermit (Tarot). This stage requires a period of deep introspection and contemplation
as we transmute our newly acquired understanding into the pure light of wisdom.
Our new knowledge must be synthesised with all the experience and learning that
we have previously accumulated and transmuted. It is now that we store within
the deepest chamber of our heart the nectar that we have recently collected
from the beautiful flowers of our experience. Within the soul it is transmuted
into honey or ambrosia ~ the nectar of the gods. The wisdom that we glean
during the yod stage of the creative/evolutionary process is added to
the 'jewel within the lotus' of our heart.
6) vav : The Hierophant
(Tarot). The end-beginning of the cycle of invocation & evocation is the
result of the five preceding stages. The increase of our store of wisdom in the
yod stage produces an increased conscious identification with the Father
principle.
The path of vav
is the final span of the 'rainbow bridge' or 'antahkarana' that
we need to build in order to ascend into Heaven to be with the Father. This is
the ultimate aim of the IHVh formula and the magick of evocation/invocation. By
the time of the fourth initiation this bridge is complete and the Son becomes
the Father ~ the light of the soul has been brought into oneness (via the
buddhic body, Hesed-4) with the Father and our consciousness is absorbed in
His. (Note that this is achieved via the Active Intelligence, or third aspect
of the monad, and thus via 'knowledge' of the Mother.)
This is when the
causal body has fulfilled its purpose (that is, to guide our consciousness into
alignment with the Father) and as it dissolves we don new apparel in the form
of the 'Christ body of Light'. In other words, we make a symbolic leap
from Tifareth-6 to Daath-11 on the Tree of Life.
Daath-11 is also
a temporary vehicle (or membrane) connecting us to the monad (or divine
Overself) but its focus is upon integrating further the love-wisdom,
or second aspect of the monad ~ a feat that is accomplished by the fifth
initiation (called the Revelation). (See: The Keys of Enoch, Key
209, re. 'body of Light'. See: The Rays and the Initiations, by
Djwal Khul & Alice Bailey, pp 692-718 for more on the fourth and fifth
initiations.)
The building of
the 'rainbow bridge' is achieved by a slow and progressive series of
cycles of the IHVh formula as outlined above. The sixth stage (vav)
leads back into stage one (ha) as new guidance is telepathically
received into the heart centre and we embark on a new journey of self discovery
into the arms of the Mother principle. Gradually, as the dense personality
triad becomes a purified and translucent lens, the light of consciousness is
refracted into harmony with the rainbow splendour of the Father and His glory
is seen shining even through the veils of human physical being. Amen.
